Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

From PTI for the February Blog Hop: "This month we decided to dedicate the Blog Hop to scallops!  We want to see your best use of scallops, of any sort, on a project!  This can include scalloped borders, offset-scallops, stamped scallops,  scalloped mats, scalloped frames, layered scallops, scalloped tags or anything else you can dream up! You can use dies, patterned scissors or even circle punches in a row to achieve your special look."
This is my entry. Stamps are from Tiny Treats Christmas and Up,Up and Away.
I will also enter it at the floral challenge at the creative cottage, and my source of inspiration (the flower) was the sweet and oh soo super talented Danielle Greenwood - for the "inspired by" challenge at wee memories

Have a great day and a great bloghop, hugs Karin

Color + Sketch

This card I've made to enter the CR84FN 16 color challenge and I was inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink.
The stamps I've used are from Crafty Secrets and Prickley Pears. I was inspired to make this flower myself, thanks to the very talented Danielle Greenwood at au Claire de la Lune! I just love her style!
She just posted the great news on her blog that she'll be designing for the shabby tearoom and she'll be so perfect for that! Can't wait to see more of her creations!
Next week I'll post some great news of my own !!!
I'm so excited to tell you right now, but I´ll wait till I get my first package, the right badge, etc.
Have a great day, hugs Karin

An Irish Window window-card!

Here's my "Irish" entry for the Waltzing Mouse February Waltz - Buttons.
I was inspired by this week's sketch at the Waltzing Mouse sketch challenge and by this beautiful picture/colors at EAD Designs to make an actual window card from the outside but looking out (!) and I had planned to use real buttons for nails/embellishments in the corners but had to use die-cut ones because the buttons I'd first chosen took the eye away from the actual scene of the card...

You make my HEART sing!

So this is my entry for Embellish color trends  with hearts challenge and for Skipping Stone's sketch challenge.
Think my love for the "Heartsong" set from Skipping Stones is for life!!!!
I'm not a very colorful cardmaker (like some of you might already have noticed (-: ) and often cringe when I post my more bright and colorful cards to my blog  - but this time I'm actually quite relaxed (-;. I think it all has to do with the great sketch (which I flipped) from Lea Lawson and that cute little bird!
Have a nice and bright and colorful day, hugs Karin

Birthday Wishes!

Here is my take on this week's sketch at the Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge:
My first plan was to make it a true window window-card seen from the outside. I was going to have buttons for nails in the corners and a little curtain in the window and flowers on a window sill. But then when I tried to add the sentiment, and the curtain and the flowers it just covered the scene too much so I decided to leave it like this. Instead I made a second card where I moved the sentiment and flipped the sketch so I could use the curtain and I am now showing that for the waltz tomorrow instead.
All the stamps I've used are from Teeny Trees - A true favorite!!!

Spotlight Friends!

The challenge this week at  Just Us Girls is to use the spotlight technique and here is my entry for that. I used a tree stamp from "Birds and Branches" and the sentiment is from the F-set - all HA.

I LOVE - chocolate!!!

Here's my take on this week's Tuesday trigger at Moxie Fab. I used scraps so I could also enter it for Wee Memories Challenge and it is definately a card about love - if not even PASSION (-; so I'm also entering it at Just add Ink and the Kraft Journal where the theme is LOVE!
The colors are neutrals + 1 for Jac-inks.

If you love great challenges like these you should check out and enter Amy Tsuruta's  challenge Flashback Friday - Now I'm not saying it because I'm guest hosting/designing there this month (-; , but because it is such a FUN and DIFFERENT and FAB challenge with GREAT SPONSORS! And you know what - you don't even have to create something new to enter -You just have to re-post a project from your past and you have a chance to win some fabulous goodies!!

(-: Promise you'll love it!
Have a great day, hugs Karin

You make my heart sing!

This card is based on Lea Lawson's great sketch at Skipping Stones Design and it has the colors from the challenge at Playdate Cafe and OTWC and the neutrals + 1 color at Jac Inks it is a Valentine's card so I'm also entering it at Just Add ink and I'm using kraft -AGAIN (!) so I might as well show it off at the kraft journal too  (-:
The stamps are true favorites - all from Skipping Stones!

Sunny Sunflower Card!

Here's my entry for this week's sketch at the Waltzing Mouse Challenge:

The stamps I've used are all from the Teeny Trees set and the centre of the Sunflower is embossed with gold.

Realize that I not only flipped the sketch, but also mirrored it - hope I'm not disqualified...
